The concept behind WWE Road to WrestleMania X8 really hits on the name - this is the road to being a Superstar, and even though you will be playing as some of the biggest names in the biz, the Road to WrestleMania is one where even the best must build if they expect to be main eventers. Better yet, the features added to the game show some innovation and great white hope that this one will wear the GBA Wrestling title with all the fans behind it.
#WRESTLEFEST GAME CARTRIDGES PRO#
Natsume is back in their corner for development on WWE Road to WrestleMania X8, hopefully with some smart understanding of how they were spanked by Fire Pro last year, and they're turning in an engine that is, at least visually, much improved.
This year, they've all got one showcase match already in their history, and now THQ can focus on building heat through polish and new features. The first wrestling game out of THQ for GBA felt like a jobber compared to the big-boy console versions of McMahon's circus, but all of the first-year wrestling titles this time had a hard time meeting sky-high expectations on the brand-new consoles.
